About Social Association for Development of Afghanistan (SADA):

SADA is a non-governmental, non-for-profit and non-political humanitarian and development organization. SADA was founded in 1994 when Afghanistan was severely affected by internal war and access to any humanitarian facilities and services was practically debarred. SADA was established with a vision of “To alleviate poverty and human sufferings to see educated, self-reliant, peaceful and developed Afghanistan” by enhancing access to quality, safe and free education, improving health conditions, upgrading local agriculture & irrigation systems, increasing awareness around hygiene and sanitation, and advocating for the rights of women & children.

SADA started its first operation in 1996 in Kandahar province by implementing a UNOPS funded WASH project with the total value of $12,657. SADA gradually expanded its operations across the southern region by developing partnerships with UNOPS, UNDP, UNWFP, UNICEF, UNHCR, Malala Fund, Street Child/Children in Crisis, GPE, JICA, Action Aid, ZOA Refugee Care, Royal Netherland Embassy, PRT and the government of Afghanistan. SADA is able to successfully implement hundreds of small and large humanitarian and development projects in several sectors in different parts of the country, which have greatly contributed in improving the living conditions of hundreds of thousands of needy people. SADA through its community based- approach built up strong relations with communities and gained a special acceptance among them.

On the basis of service delivery, the organization has created excellent reputation among donor organizations, partner organization, government officials and other stakeholders. SADA is headquartered in Kabul and currently has sub offices in, Kandahar, Zabul, Helmand, Samangan, Sari-Pul, Faryab and Urozgan provinces.

 

Job Description:

The incumbent of this position is expected to exhibit the following characteristics:

  1. Proficiency in utilizing computer software such as MS Office, QuickBooks, and other relevant tools.
  2. Strong report writing skills encompassing various reporting frequencies, including daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, annual, and special reporting periods.
  3. Familiarity with financial reporting standards and formats.
  4. Capability to complete necessary forms such as FACE, ICE, DSE, and other required documentation as per the guidelines of UN agencies, INGOs, and donors.
  5. Previous experience working with educational projects and NGOs.
  6. Ability to develop workplans and action plans aligned with project objectives.
  7. Familiarity with PED reporting requirements and formats, along with proficiency in processing reports.
  8. Having knowledge of Afghanistan’s Tax rules and regulations.
  9. Aptitude for managing challenging and complex work scenarios effectively.
  10. Demonstrated ability to serve as a behavioral role model for colleagues and team members.
  11. Competence in working autonomously, meeting strict deadlines promptly.
  12. Results-oriented mindset when prioritizing and delivering work tasks.
  13. Proficiency in applying creative and innovative thinking to enhance conceptual and analytical processes.
  14. Sensitivity towards gender-related issues and considerations.
  15. Fluency in written and oral communication in Dari, Pashto, and English.
